Between 29th April and 10th May 2011 in the Arctic, on the archipelago Lofoten in Norway, photographer and filmmaker Terje Sørgjerd captured an unusual natural phenomenon. His favourite natural phenomenon that no one appears to know the name of – so he decided to name it himself:

. It occurs 2-4 weeks before you can see the Midnight Sun. The Sunset and Sunrise are connected in one magnificent show of colour and light lasting 8 to 12 hours. The sun is barely going below the horizon before coming up again. After 4 years of trying to capture the Arctic Light, Terje finally managed and created this stunning time-lapse video. Enjoy this wonder of nature. On video, or perhaps in real life sometime soon?

It took him four years to capture a spectacular light show presented by nature each Spring in Norway. Then, filmmaker and photographer Terje Sørgjerd finally succeeded.
